Description
Living Classroom offers 50 lesson plans in the areas of life, earth and physical science, social studies and math that are all based on the study of living things. Please see our website at www.living-classroom.org for the complete listings of all lessons and overview of the Program. Many of our lessons are based in school gardens--both edible and native--and we can design and oversee installation of new gardens if not currently in place. We generally provide our lessons to multiple schools within a school district, starting at one or more grades initially and adding grades and schools over time. Funding is required from private and/or public sources to launch the program at a school district and we work with a new school district to secure the funding.

Other Info
By providing school gardens as a setting for many lessons, the "field trip" is at the school yard which allows for up to 9 lessons per grade per school year---or approx. 1 hour per month.
