Description
Observe live owls and learn about the physical adaptations that make them successful nocturnal hunters. Dissect owl pellets and be introduced to skeletal anatomy and the owl's diet. Discuss the nature of food chains and the role of owls in the ecosystem.

Fee Description
$250 per session + $3/student for owl pellets. Travel fee for at-school programs is $100 per day (within Santa Clara County). Discounts available for programs in September, December, January, and February.

Areas of Service
This program is offered at YSI's Science and Nature Center in Alum Rock City Park in East San Jose and at your school. If held at school, we can stay in one room for the day or travel from classroom to classroom.

Anyone can come visit us! For our regular travel fee, we can bring programs to Santa Clara County. For an extra travel fee, we can also go to southern San Mateo County and southern Alameda County.
