Program: Animals and Their Adaptations

Description
Find out how animals are built to survive. Touch and examine live animals from a variety of taxonomic groups and learn about diet, ecological role, habitat, structure, and function. Observe and discuss differences among the animals.

This program is regularly a one-hour program. We do also offer a half-hour program for preK groups.

Fee Description
1/2 hour (preK): $150 per session 1 hour (K-8th): $200 per session Travel fee for at-school programs is $100 per day (within Santa Clara County). Discounts available for programs in September, December, January, and February.

Areas of Service
This program is offered at YSI's Science and Nature Centers in Alum Rock City Park in East San Jose, Vasona Lake County Park in Los Gatos, Sanborn County Park in Saratoga, and at your school. If held at school, we can stay in one room for the day or travel from classroom to classroom.

Anyone can come visit us! For our regular travel fee, we can bring programs to Santa Clara County. For an extra travel fee, we can also go to southern San Mateo County and southern Alameda County.

Our programs are very hands-on and are designed for one class at a time.
